Porcelain Laminates
Porcelain laminates are very thin, strong layers of tooth-shaped porcelain which are precision made to your teeth. Composite-resin material is used as an adhesive to bond the porcelain veneer to the tooth.
Porcelain laminates solve the same types of problems as composite-resin bonding such as stain, discoloration, and spacing. However, they have the additional advantage of added strength and support. If many teeth are to be bonded or if staining or other maintenance is a problem, Porcelain Laminates may be recommended. Also, if very dark stains need to be masked or if existing porcelain crowns need to be matched, laminates are the treatment of choice.
