Orthodontics
In order to accurately diagnose an orthodontic problem, full records are necessary.
These records include:
- Cephalometric X-ray: which shows how the jaws and teeth are positioned relative to each other.
- Diagnostic Models: which allow us to better visualize tooth arrangement and crowding.
- Diagnostic Photographs: which show how treatment will affect esthetics.
- Panorex x-ray: which shows the entire mouth, all teeth and roots and jaw structures. Normally this x-ray is taken for routine dental care also. An appointment of approximately an hour in length is necessary to take the records.
After all the records are prepared and diagnosed, a consultation appointment will be set up to discuss the findings. The diagnosis, time of treatment, and case fee will all be discussed at the consultation appointment.
