Appointments
We see patients by appointment Monday through Thursday. The length of your appointment will vary depending on the procedure being done that day. If it is your first visit, please arrange to come 15-20 minutes early to fill out your medical history and other forms.
Our office does not ‘double book’ appointments. The time is held exclusively for you. Thus we ask for a minimum of 48 hours' notice if you cannot make a scheduled appointment.
Recare appointments are normally made three to six months in advance. We are firm believers that regular preventive dental care can minimize or eliminate future problems.
Telephone Calls
We encourage you to call the office if you have any questions regarding your condition, medication or treatment. Our staff is well trained to answer your questions. If there is a need for you to speak with the doctor personally, arrangements will be made to return your call if he is not immediately available. There is no fee for telephone consultations.
Emergency Care
If you have an urgent problem or are in discomfort, please call our office as early in the day as possible for instructions. Normally we will try to see you that same day. Emergency calls after hours will be directed to either Dr. Stein or a dentist on call.
New Patients
We gladly accept new patients, and will make every effort to accommodate your family and friends. Most of our new patients come to us by personal recommendation and we deeply appreciate the confidence in our office that a personal referral demonstrates. We will do all that we can to retain that trust.
Dental Insurance
If you have dental insurance we will gladly submit all necessary forms. Normally claims are submitted electronically. We participate in the Empire Blue Cross dental plan, and we will accept assignment of benefit for other insurances. We will estimate the portion of our fee your insurance will cover. Payment of the remainder is due at time of service, and we will bill if necessary after the insurance reimburses us.
Fees
Fees for office visits are determined by the services rendered and may vary with the complexity of the problem.
Financial Policy
We want you to be informed of exactly what treatment is recommended, how it will be done, the time involved, and what your financial investment will be. To reduce the cost of billing and allow us to maintain our fees, we ask that payment be made at time of service. As a service to our patients, in addition to cash and checks, we also accept major credit cards and CareCredit, a healthcare credit service.
