Dr. David A Stein graduated cum laude from the State University of New York School of Dentistry at Buffalo in 1979. While there he was a winner of the William Tucker Scholarship for Clinical and Academic Excellence for three consecutive years.

Upon graduation, he was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the dental honor society. He continued his training for an additional year as a general practice resident in dentistry at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut.

Dr. Stein is a founding member of the World Congress of Microdentistry. His other professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society, Fourth District Dental Society, and the Schenectady Dental Society.

Dr. Stein has lectured to local dental societies on microdentistry and esthetics. He has demonstrated microdentistry and laser caries detection live on television. He has been interviewed on National Public Radio in regards to microabrasion and esthetic dentistry.

Dr. Stein has completed over 2,000 hours of continuing dental education since his residency. He subscribes to numerous dental journals and dental internet sites. He has been in private practice in Schenectady since 1980.
